Golf Clubfitting: Loft

Loft determines the ball trajectory in each club. In general, the higher the loft the higher the trajectory.

Loft is mostly linked to shaft-flex, bend-point, lie, and body action of each golfer. Most manufacturers provide specifications as to what loft is in each club. It is important to see the step or increments between each club. Some manufacturers sneak in lower lofts for the short irons making you think you are hitting the ball further than you actually are. This can prove fatal. You don’t want to hit your 8 iron 150 yards  and your 7 iron 152 yards! Your clubs should average about a 10 to twelve yards differential between each club.
