 Having the right grip pressure throughout the stroke is necessary to allow the club to swing freely, swiftly and accurately. So often a player will hold the club so tight that it has no chance of swinging through with any consistentcy.
Conversely holding the handle too loose will cause the club to swing out of control possibly even allowing the hands to regrip the handle throughout the stroke. This of course is a absolute no-no in the golf swing. So, there is a catch 22 when it comes to proper grip pressure. |
